I wonder if many ROD members realize just how little the National NFL Media knows about specific teams?

These people make a ton of $ to do one thing ... talk about the NFL ... That's a GREAT JOB to have.
Personally, I don't think most of them know very much about the specific teams.

Here's a today example about our Rams, and a popular current National media personality ... Pat McAfee.

I am not a huge fan (think he is more fluff than substance) but McAfee is Very Popular right now.

On McAfee's show today, one of his regulars was talking about the Rams' win yesterday and mentioned "Landman's" big punch-out forced fumble. Two highlights came-up. The 1st was Durant's interception.
That play was shown twice before the Landman forced fumble. As the Cobie Durant play was being shown, McAfee said ... 'Is that Landman?'

Cobie Duran is in his 4th year, and has played a lot of football for a popular NFL playoff team.
Pat McAfee has NO IDEA who Cobie Durant is. Why should his opinion ... or that of most any of his peers ... carry any weight with any die-hard Rams' fans?

These people don't even know the players. How can they evaluate the teams?

Some really don't have the same level of knowledge or familiarity with all 32 teams. But there are many of those people who use sites like ours to come up with talking points and fresh information.

I know one who is extremely knowledgeable who has told me he reads here all of the time... Charles Davis. One of my sons is a good friend of Davis' son and hangs out over at his house sometimes. My son told him about our site... Charles already knew it well LOL. My son couldn't believe it and asked him how/why. He told him that reading thoughts from diehard fans is one of the best ways to really become current. He told my son that ROD is one of the sites he enjoys reading most... and that was before he knew that I have anything to do with it.
