What? Why? This is the biggest shocker since Pip Schofield came out the Brom cupboard.

Fowler benefits from defenses having to deal w/ Donald and gets one on one matchups. If he moves to another team, their opponents will be primarily key on him and his production will go down. And I agree. Let Obo have a shot. I think you will get comparable production.
I'm not sure how that happens. Fowler is always blocked by the RT and Donald is lined up usually between the LOG and LOT. Can you give an example of how the ROT's job gets more difficult because Donald is lined up on almost on the opposite side of the formation?

Sports reporting now, it’s pretty sad but standard procedure now. Why I stopped following many Rams reporting sites including one that come around here.

I desire that CFA LB'er Dante Fowler Jr. goes to the highest team bidder...............it will begin the bounty of compensatory picks for our current depleted 2021 draft selections of only four. I hope its over $16 million a year .....would be a great start! Sure to give Snead a 3rd rounder.

Due to the current overall situation ongoing with this 2020 Ram team it sure will benefit this future Ram team to refrain from having any involvement in FA'cy. Hard not to do, I know but wait until 4/28/2020 when any signed CFA does not have any bearing on the compensatory picks in 2021. An example of a CFA was the delayed signing by the 33 yr old Ndamukong Suh in May 2019 with Tampa.

After 4/28/2020 Snead would need to direct his interests on players who are non CFA's who have been cut or released or RFA's not given a tender. Then be in a good position to move on any desires veteran pre season cuts before the 2020 season begins. Rams 2020 rookie class cost is estimated to be only $4.3 million @ this time.

There is a good chance that 29 yr old DT Brockers might bring a 3rd rd pick after all KC's Chris Jones market value is close to $20 Mil. DT Shelby Harris & DJ Reader who are not the player Brocker's has market values said to be over $12 mil.

26 yr old Cory Littleton is also rated top of the ILB'ers rated over Blake Martinez who has a market value of over $16 million. I am not opposed to seeing LT Andrew Whitworth get $9 to $10 million this season playing for another team like LA Chargers or LV Raiders.

If the Rams position is into a developmental stage 2020 season then the stars have lined up right for 2021 for compensatory draft selection awards in 2021. Could end up with four awarded selections....a couple of 3rd rounders, a couple of 4th rounders to go with our dinky four 2021 picks (2nd/ 3rd/ 6th & 7th).

We absolutely should tag and trade him if possible. Walter has him listed as the second best FA OLB to Clowney. I would and trade him to the Redskins for Trent Williams which would be a perfect cross trade. Trent doesn't want to play for the Skins and we will lose Fowler to a team desperate for a OLB so it makes sense. Williams is the best LT in football when not injured and he solves any blindside issues. We will save some money vs what we need to pay Fowler and just like Whit we we get 2+ great years my guess Whit is 38 we should actually get 4-5 good years out of him.

Fowler usually lined up on the weak side which Donald usually lines up to that side (shade the nose tackle toward the TE side.....) This left the OT (or in many cases a TE or H-back...) to handle Fowler one on one. Donald almost always had a OG or C...or an OG and a OT across from him. Depending on the other team's protections. Mathews would have had the same #s or better if he hadn't got hurt.

Rams seem to have good connections with the Falcons too. If they're hot for Fowler I think Snead & Dimitroff could hammer it out pretty quick.

Dante definitely benefitted from playing next to AD. But I don't want to diminish how he played, the guy was fantastic. My deal is I don't trust him to play that way with a big contract.

I'm with you on Matthews. That injury was a damn shame, he was a different dude before that happened. This is why I keep saying I'd leave him as the last cut and only if I needed the space he represents. IMO a guy like him still has value at his contract cost.

he was getting to the qb but he was undisciplined as fuck, letting the oompa have a field day against the rams. also couldn't tackle for shit. that remained true after he came back from injury as well.

After reading your post I questioned whether my memory was accurate. I went and pulled the first game I could find from last season, Rams/Falcons , to see if what you say is true. Well, I think that Fowler at left End and Donald on the right side is the Rule. There are some exceptions in this game where Fowler is on the same side of the field. However , there's a play where Fowler gets a sack from the right side ; same side as Donald. And, he was going against the RT, not a TE. I agree that Donald gets Double teamed alot, but I don't see how that makes Fowler's job any easier.
