Could signing CB/S Kenny Moore be the finishing piece on the Defense?

I posted this on Moore in the NFL News thread. I think they need more of a coverage CB, but he could be helpful.

Pro Football Focus graded him 66.7 overall, ranking 39th out of 114 NFL cornerbacks, which puts him squarely in the above-average starter / high-end role player tier
  • Strengths: He was excellent versus the run, earning a top-5 run-defense grade among all corners, showing he’s still physical and reliable in the slot.
  • Coverage: His coverage grade (62.1) was more middle-of-the-pack, meaning he’s better against quick, inside receivers than speed threats or frequent man coverage on the outside.
  • ✅ Still a starting-caliber nickel corner
  • ✅ Very strong vs. the run and short-area routes
  • ❌ Not a top-tier coverage corner anymore
  • ❌ Less appealing for teams needing outside CB speed or long-term upside

Quite frankly, I'm a bit leery of the team adding any depth that wouldn't contribute on special teams.

Keenan Allen is primarily a slot WR which seems unnecessary given the receiving TE investment.
Kenny Moore may be on the decline. If I'm not mistaken, former scout Bryan Broaddus said he can't run anymore on one of his draft shows.
It would be interesting to see if Rasul Douglas would be interested in a depth role coming off a good season.
