I have more than a few draft prospects I posted about the last day of the draft in years past that no one else mentioned on ROD about ( see Robert Rochelle, David Long Jr. etc.) however, it’s a crap shoot because the low value, multitude of trades, and guys that fall that complicates late day pick prediction.

Last draft day picks are a lot funner for me to review and go after than the top guys that are no brainers in making an NFL team. Also, GM’s reputation and jobs are on line drafting with these late round picks that generally make or break them and/or a team.

This year is a special year with all the Super Seniors, Normal underclassman and seniors, as well as hold overs for the the first Portal talent, yeah this draft is loaded with talent. So much so the 5, 6, and 7th round have guys who would normally in the 3-5 range.

The general media doesn’t pump them up or talk about them much so those who fancy themselves a draft guru don’t generally talk much about late round picks since you can’t be a half wit to listening to media for these type of picks.

Just curious, those of you that follow deeper in the draft prospects, you have any favorites you like in this unique draft?

(Obviously projected round is subjective, how many times can you get 32 different people to all agree 100% of the time? It only takes one to take a guy early and not risk it)

p.s. most are captains as well.

Haha that's a good addition to that list I left out!

Really pulling for Karty or Reichard.

I see a lot are high on Cam Little and haven't looked him up at all as of yet.

I like Gabe Murphy a lot.

I really like Vake and Tracy and think either would make a good kick returner with the new rules.

I don’t know what round he’ll go in but I like Curtis Jacobs LB from PSU. But keep in mind, the Rams have backup LBer types in Hummel and Rosenboom. So do they need another backup LBer?

The idea of adding some late round DTs seems likely.

Really fallen in love with Edefuan to pair with Jones. he'd be the perfect weak side linebacker in coverage, is extremely athletic, I've watched his snaps for the limited tape there is online and it seems he rarely takes a wrong first step which is huge for LB's. Also he takes some damned good angles to avoid blocks and if not tackle impact the play. Really like him.

I wonder if the Rams switch the defense yo play a second linebacker more than they have been.

Yeah I'm curious asf to see how Coach Shula is going to lean towards. Revamping? Tweaking and eliminating some folds? The same? Sadly I don't think we'll truly know until the regular season as we'll be vanilla in the preseason.

Which one do you prefer Den. Rams are undoubtedly awaiting this critical piece of information so out with it!

Yes I agree. That certainly seems possible. They just need to find one worthy of being on the field with Jones all three snaps.

They may fish in the safety pool on that front, the oversized SS conversion project types.

I like Karty, but I am betting Snead goes with a Kicker from the SEC either Little or Reichard, just for your own edification.;)

Jordan Whittington. Would keep an eye on Joshua Cephus (WR, UTSA) as well; he's uber-talented, but has character issues that need to be vetted.

Those 3 WR's are looking like 3rd rounders though I'd love Baker or Smith in the 4th if we acquire a 4th round pick :D
I’m curious if teams get saturated in the first 3 rounds of all the damned WR’s in this class above them they get pushed down to the 4th?

Could be it's safe to never say never though, I remember when I first found out about Anaias Smith he was projected as a 6th round pick. But his return ability his ability at X and he's been a Deebo type RB on occasion. Guys got skills for sure.

Too many of my early draft crushes are now talked about in 3rd and 4th round picks, Smith and Mustafa at Safety.
