are you serious?

He's a runner who was falling forward after slipping through McDougald's tackle attempt. He doesn't get special protections just because he's a QB. You see WRs and HBs get hit like that all the time as they're falling. Don't run if you don't want to risk getting hit. Or better yet, slide before a defender can hit you. Wentz chose neither.

It was a dirty hit.

But it’s not so much that Wentz is a “running QB”, it just doesn’t help himself trying to be a RB running through hits for that extra yard. That’s what separates him & Cam from guys like Russell & Kyler. Wentz & Cam are bigger than most DBs(& in Cam’s case, a few ILBs) so they will have that mentality of trying for that extra yard. Russ & Kyler will go down instantly once they see they a defender closing end.

Na. It was not a dirty hit on the RB

I wanted Wentz for the simple reason that the Rams had Fisher, and I couldn't see Fisher developing Goff. Wentz was more ready imo and would have fit in better with a clueless offensive HC. Fortunately, the Rams dumped Fisher and got an excellent replacement.

Dunno why this needs to keep being put out there, but this...exactly.

I, also, had no faith that they'd fire Fisher, but if they did, Goff was the pick. If not, then Wentz.

Thankfully, they took Goff and fired Fisher. That was the right choice.

it's a penalty to lead with your helmet and have it contact another players helmet regardless of position. It's targeting.

What was Wentz even doing? Reminds me of RG3 in that neither of them seem to have any sense.

After seeing that hit against Wentz, I've come to appreciate Goff's QBing more. It doesn't look flashy and he has glaring flaws (which QB in their 20s doesn't) but he makes decisions to play another down and will have plenty of opportunities to learn from his mistakes.

I've always been of the mentality that a QB's job as a franchise player is to not be running around letting other Franchises take shots at him. In the pocket a QB has a lot of protections these days with the low hit to the leg and helmet etc.

Goff is an excellent Franchise QB. He stands strong in the pocket with no fear and moves around when necessary. He needs to work on tucking the ball when hit, but at least he isn't constantly taking hits on the run like a lot of these QB's.
