Anyone have any thoughts on using Blake more this upcoming year at least as a 2 down back and specific on majority of running plays as his pass blocking has improved but hes not KW. He showed flashed and I think he could be used more to keep Kyren even fresher. Nothing like a 50/50 splt but at least 10-12 touches a game. He showed a lot of progression throughout the season and flashes of why the Rams drafted him.

Same as it was this year but maybe expanded a little unless for some reason we trade KW.

Personally I'd be ok with them rolling with him with more playing time or as a starter if they got a player like Judkins in the draft. Just don't think investing big dollars to Kyren is a smart thing long term. He's got value so I'd personally flip him if I could but if he signs for a reasonable amount, I certainly understand. Running back is just one of those positions where I want more explosiveness from.

Hard to say with Corum. Seemed pretty good when he got on the field. His longest run was only 12 yards though. If we go RB early in the draft and land a good one Corum might drop down the depth chart.

I believe that’s the plan whether they keep Kyren or not. I like Kyren but would love a number of draft picks (Hampton, Judkins , Henderson, kid from Iowa) with “house call” juice.

didn’t Kyren play very little his rookie season? I think he got hurt early too. But still, even when he got healthy, I don’t think he played much. Then year 2, he became The Man a few games into the season.

Yes … Corum actually played more.

Williams had just 35 carries in 10 games as a rookie. Corum carried 58 times in 17 games.

They both come in at about 3.5 a game.

Last season I was hoping Corum would settle in as the early down back, but he couldn't hold up and Williams outplayed him.

So no idea this year. This class may provide another back to the mix so gonna wait and see what the final roster looks like. But Corum needs to battle and stay healthy as well as offer great ball security. If he does that he gives himself his best chance.

It seems apparent that Corum greatly benefitted from a Superior offensive line in college. He doesn’t wiggle through the tight windows as deftly as Kyren does.

Corum often seems to like to bounce it outside. I loved the pick when it was made and thought he may be starting over Kyren by seasons end, but now I don’t see him being the Rams bell cow after watching him run in the NFL.

Kyren has elite vision. I've never thought Corum had that. My hope was, and still is, that he has a bit more speed to somewhat make up for it. He's still an unknown for me.

Do recall, Corum has several long runs that were negated by holds. He definitely looked like the most explosive back IMO. AND, he is less prone to fumbles, which matter A LOT. I'd take the best offer for Kyren and grab one of the studs this year. This years combine, I think every back at the combine ran faster then Kyren did.

I think its way way way too early and such a small sample size to write him off. Still want a homerun threat running back tho lol

Me too. There's just soo much talent in the draft rn.
Don't forget, we had just drafted Zac "yikes" Stacy the year before we drafted Gurley. If the talent is there GET IT.
A backfield of either KW or BC, paired with a burner like Tuten, would be cray cray. Start the game with Tuten, get out front, and then grind them down with KW.
