Betsy Palmer Kinda Freaked Me Out

Sometimes I go down the YouTube rabbit hole. I was attracted to an old gameshow that I was too young to have ever watched, but the panelists were kind of funny. There was a very attractive blonde young lady named Betsy Palmer. She was so sweet and kind and I sorta fell in love with her public persona. She was in a broadway play in 1961, I believe, playing Peter Pan. She was so genuine and kind towards people in her past when they were "the secret."

I finally did a search on her and found that she was Jason Voorhees Momma on Friday the 13th! What a shocker and it felt as wrong as expecting a Disney cartoon movie and finding out it was hentai porn.....lol.

So have you ever been shocked by a star who seemed totally one way and then freakin' blew your mind later? Time and memory did me in as far as Betsy goes....

Side note about a different "Mrs. Palmer":

Arnie Palmer and his wife were on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson, and Carson asked Mrs. Palmer if she had any superstitious rituals. She replied, "well before every Tournament, I kiss his balls for luck."
