Entering week 6 I'm not seeing any major shake-up at WR or RB, but the OL and TE positions are definitely in line for an octane boost. I believe Hopkins will return from his suspension, and it's past time for the Edwards/Evans show at LG to be pulled. The Rams could easily opt to gather further offensive momentum with more emphasis on 12 Personnel sets involving Higbee, Hopkins, Blanton & even Roger Carter, if they'd finally bring him up. While there seems to be little support for moving Alaric Jackson, I'm one of the minority here who would like to see him at LG where he can be of help to Noteboom and our running/pass game from that side. AJ should be able to make the transition a fairly easy one as he still has very little NFL experience as an OG (3 games). Aboushi, vastly more experienced as a veteran RG should be ready now to step in. Kolone has played better than expected at Center, but if Allen is a go, then our OL only needs to develop some new chemistry, and Carolina offers an opportunity for the Rams to reshape our interior without going up against a top front 4 defense.
Like many, I don't feel the Defense has been our problem, although it would be great to see these guys produce some interceptions and forced fumbles that bounce our way for a change. I like that Bobby Brown will be returning from suspension after the BYE for our game against the 49'ers, and with a little luck, maybe Van Jefferson, Cobie Durant, Troy Hill, Kyren Williams, Daniel Hardy & Jordan Fuller return soon after to make an impact.
The Rams have endured much this season, but we aren't out of this race by any means, and the Panthers provide us with a means to get back on track, so let's take advantage where we can.
