It's not quite what you think.

I'm talking about the ladies who spend an hour layering makeup upon make up, reshaping and hiding their true face. I'm talking about guys who wear toupees and hats to hide that bald dome. Some women actually change their face significantly, so much so that it might as well be a Halloween mask.

I heard a lady anectdotally relate her experience that guys react better to her if she goes the whole nine yards with thick makeup, instead of just a little blush and lip gloss and ready to go in 5 minutes. Sooner or later, the guy has to take off the cap and the makeup will ruin the joint shower scene as it melts off your face....

Do you like being fooled by the make up or do you prefer seeing a person as they are?

Part of the human mating ritual is trying to put on a better appearance than you really are. We want to appear nicer, prettier, stronger, richer, more intelligent, etc. It’s not just a human thing either - such is life.

catfishing is a real thing. Makeup isn’t that thing.

I’m old, I like little to no make-up. When a woman looks better without make-up, that’s called a keeper in my book!

Make up actually makes me gag. Little is best and for fucks sake don't bathe in perfume. I actually had a rule against perfume for my waitresses. People want to smell the food, not your overaggressive fragrance. I don't like kissing lipstick either so my wife hasn't worn it since we were dating - over 35 years ago.

Sorry, but if you need cake and all that shit to cover your flaws, have at it. I'm just not into it and never have been. Give me the natural flaws and all that goes with it.

That being said, tasteful accents are fine. A short skirt and pokies are far more enticing to MY eyes.

My wife has kicked a flight attendant off the plane for too much perfume. They have been told more than once that some people are actually allergic to certain ones. So the rule is as little as possible.

And for me, the less make-up the better. I want to see you, not some made-up fake crap.

Gaslighting is much worse. But today, with the lift bras, and bunch jeans, etc., you don't know what someone really looks like. You'd be surprised how many people wear wigs now. The thick makeup is definitely a calling card for someone who is lacking confidence or just can't stand their own appearance. It's all just bait though right? They are fishing for a nice catch. In the end, it's all just wrapping for what's in the inside. That's the real prize.

I've never been a fan of makeup... especially lipstick. I will not kiss my wife if she has lipstick on, so she very rarely uses it.

Don't get me wrong... there are times when it looks hot... but I prefer the natural beauty.

No to thick makeup, when you look at their face and you get the feeling if you wiped your finger across a cheek it'd feel like running your finger through some mud . A little makeup is nice, especially for events or nights out but other than that I don't expect or want my wife to wear any.

No thanks to any of the 'high maintenance' ladies in this world. If she can't apply ALL her makeup in two to three minutes, ... fahgettaboudit. I have found many of these women to be obsessed with themselves, attention demanding, and are borderline narcissists, if not flat out. Heavy makeup sends a chilling message to me about an overall personality trait that i'd prefer to not associate with, and while i'm sure most are fine women, it sends a personal danger signal for me to just get out of the way, allow them to move on and do their own thing. I'm a 'casual' person who seeks similar types, I have no time for those 'putting on airs'. jmo.

Being picky with chicks is firmly in my rear-view window. Started noticing that late 40s and now my requirement is a beating heart and a sweet disposition. :alol:

Wait till 60, it changes again. "18 to 80, deaf, dumb, crippled, blind or crazy. And if we can't find one, we make exceptions".

Don’t view makeup as a character flaw.

like a woman who is sure of herself, knows her strong features and accentuates them.

Equal opportunity for the painted ladies.

I want my lady to look her best, if that means painting her face so be it. Of course, after being married for thirty some years it is not as important. As time goes on women let them self go and get fat and make up does not even help, it's like putting lipstick on a pig. I still workout and keep in shape so it kind of pisses me off.
