I've got to believe this is fake news. The Bears have less available CAP than us and being Mack carries a near $48.mil dead CAP hit for 2020, they would have to absorb a $21.mil total CAP loss when they only have $13mil. on hand.

If my math is correct, they would have to eat $30.8 million (-$4.2 million net) if they trade him before his roster bonus is paid. If they trade him after, they would have to eat $34.5 million (-$7.9 million net). Basically, it's extremely unlikely they trade him, unless they are going to blow everything up and tank.

Yeah, I dunno if they can renegotiate his contract in order to lessen their cap hit and essentially make the new team take a big balloon hit.

Trading Mack would put the Bears to $7 million in the red on the cap hit. I don't buy it.
They can't. All the bonus money has been paid already (except for the roster bonus I referenced).
I've said it all along - literally from the moment the trade was made - the Raiders EMPHATICALLY won that trade.
Mack is simply not worth it. He's not close to the player Donald is and yet he's paid that way.
