Obviously you have always had the ability to add attachments, but now you have the ability to reuse attachments you had previously used.
This feature will not only will save you time from having to constantly re-upload your attachments but also save disk space on the server.
When you now create a thread (or by clicking "more options" when replying to a thread) you will be presented with this.
You can now either
A: Type in the complete name of the image to search for it, or
B: Do as I did in the example and just put a "period"
This will give you a list of all the attachments you have used in the past and allow you to easily insert them into a post.
